Beautiful place and great people - exercise, sights and the beautiful Marlborough Sounds - what more could you want ?

FANTASTIC - couldn't have asked for better - great guides, good preparation before we left, great weather and a fantastic place to be - on the waters off Picton watching the beautiful bush of the area pass by and with the clear waters under us. 2 person kayak and all the safety gear, Matt and George did a great job with good commentary about the whole trip. Baby rays in one bay a sight to remember. Even got a lift back to their base and a hot chocolate to finish. Definitely a great way to exercise a few muscles and see this part of NZ in the best possible way.
Okay tour

It was a good tour, but a warning to solo travelers: you will be kayaking with another person who may not be fit. I was put with an older woman and basically paddled her around for the 3+ hours. This was bothersome as I am young and want to explore niche beaches around the sound, but all of the fitness was left to me.
Beautiful relaxed kayak tour

It was my first time kayaking on the sea and so I was a bit nervous before. But it was much easier than expected. Alex our guide was really nice and I never felt unsure. He showed us rays and we even saw a shark. And it was great that the tour was planed after the wind so we never had the wind against us. We have been picked up at the end so we didn't have to go the same way twice. I really would recommend this tour to everybody. And it's no problem if you are not an experienced kayaker!
Lot of fun...great activity...good value.

Thank you for the great kayaking adventure. Our guides were very good and the weather was spectacular. The length was about right (3.5 hours) for us. Some of the group had to leave early, but one guide stayed with us for another hour or so of fun. It would have been nice to see some more wildlife (we saw a seal), but this is outside your control. Very good value and I would recommend your organization to visitors in the Picton area.

Wonderful experience getting to see the beautiful sounds. Stunning views, a must do adventure if you’re ever lucky enough to visit
Beautiful tour!

Had a great time kayaking. Scenery was beautiful and we didn’t get wet at all. It’s a fair amount of padding so make sure you are up for it. Our guide was great as well.
A Great Active Day with Very Knowledgeable Guides

We really enjoyed this outing with Jenna and George! Both guides were extremely easy to talk to. They took time to get to know each member of our small group. They kept up a great pace; challenging, but with plenty of leisure breaks. We were under the impression that we'd see a little more marine life than we did, but we understand that the lack of sightings was likely due to the rain (something that's obviously totally out of their control.) We'd recommend this tour as a fun, active excursion!
Great Tour

We really enjoyed the Tour. We had a very friendly and mindful tourguide, who showed us some wonderful places. He also explaned interesting things about the nature there and pointed us stingrays and starfishes in the very clear water.

We were on a cruise that included a day in Picton. My wife and I had never been kayaking before and decided to give it a go. What a great decision. First of all the cruise schedule changed due to weather and sea condition, but Wilderness Guides were brilliant at rearranging our booking around this moving both the date and the time to accommodate us - thank you Courtney. The office was very easy to find and the staff were friendly. Merlin was our guide and it was quite a magical experience. He explained clearly what we would be doing and when we got to the site he made sure we were all aware of the safety processes. Our group was just 7 people and Merlin so was very easy to keep together and listen to what was being said. We were in the kayaks for probably 3 hours I really can't be exact! but it went so quickly and was very easy to keep up with the other people despite being kayak virgins! The scenery was breathtaking and would love to visit the place again. Saw some jellyfish and stingrays along with a number of birds, Merlin was very knowledgeable despite not being a local! Great experience.
