Our trip on the Paddle Boat was at Breakfast, early in the morning 8.00 AM the buffet was abundant and varied, with choices for almost everyone. The weather was sunny and windless, while from the lake the vista of Rotorua was nice and give you a good idea how big this town is. The odor of sulfa can be overwhelming for some sensitive people, depending on the time of the day and wind conditions. Overall our time was pleasant.

The weather was poor, but that can't be helped. However, the quality of the breakfast was appalling. The scrambled eggs were lukewarm, the sausages were of the boiled, cocktail variety and also lukewarm, the bacon was merely processed pork strips and the hash browns barely cooked. I tried the croissants and they were stale! The boat trip itself was ok, minimal commentary. This trip was a disappointment, and not value for money.

I booked this as a surprise for my sister in law for her hens breakfast. When we got there they informed me that they did not have my booking and they were not going out. I was extremely angry at this point. The captain and chef realized why we booked and said that they will take us out anyway. So bad experience turned good. Although we didn't get the cruise i booked we still got there. So either Viator mucked up or the boat did.

Our host and captain was super nice! Only two families aboard on that November morning so we received extra attention. Great food. Definitely worth the cost! Cloudy and overcast but then the sun popped out. Some of our best pictures were from this morning on the boat!

This was a good tour for views of Rotorua from the lake. The food wasn't good and it was cold. The service was good though.

When we arrived to go on this tour we were met with the most beautiful sunrise. We took some photos one of which we got made into a canvas and now hangs on our wall at home. We were greeted by a member of staff and shown onto the boat and although the boat could hold 300 people and only 8 arrived for the sailing the trip went ahead. The tour and food were top class and I can't thank the captain and staff enough as this trip was one of the highlights of our holiday.

Mass catered breakfast, and a boat 'tour' that just goes up and down with poor commentary.
