Wonderful tour

Wonderful tour. Our driver/guide Sastika was awesome. We started the tour at Rotorua where we saw the kiwi bird, the geysers, geothermal and had lunch. After that we visited Hobbiton (so beautiful) and had their good beer. Very beautiful countryside roads where you can see tons of sheep and cows. Highly recommend!

Thanks for your kind comments, we have been going to Hobbiton since it opened way back in 2002 with probably around 50,000 happy clients just with our company in that time. Nice weather does help and its been a stunning summer this year here in NZ, regards Ian

Two fabulous excursions in one wonderful day! The geyser/Maori center was fascinating and Hobbiton was great fun! Thank you!

Not many companies fit in both destinations in the one day [not even the cruise lines] so we try and give you the best day we can within the time you are here in Tauranga. Regards Ian

I had a wonderful time. The tour group updated the departure time based on the early arrival of my cruise ship. The driver was super nice, he took us to several added spots like Kiwi farm and city of Tirau with corrugated buildings shaped like animals. The Rotorua geothermal site has a Maori war ship and village, and a kiwi bird house. I saw my first living Kiwi running around. The geysers and mud pots was amazing. Hobbiton was what I expected. The tour was a walking tour though the Hobbit village, up and down hill along walking paths, may not be suitable for people with mobility problem. I saw many Hobbit houses, and our guide was very knowledgeable. Totally worth the money.

So pleased that you enjoyed our tour to Hobbiton AND Rotorua, not many companies offer this tour so if you are only going to be visiting NZ just the once, then our combo tour is the best option to see both great destinations. Regards Ian

Great combination tour

Grahame was a great tour guide. The Geothermals were awesome and he made sure everyone was able to see as much as possible. The Hobbiton movie set was more than we expected and again Grahame made sure everyone knew where to go and when to be at the right location for the tour drop off and pickup. Great combination, Thanks Grahame

OMG, even if you’re not a fan of the films you will live this visit. Hobbiton is absolutely stunning, great scenery, lakes and pub :-). Lovely stop off for food after showcasing more of Taurangas beauty

This is such a common comment, many of our passengers are sceptical about visiting as either the books or the movies were not their thing, in 100% of the cases they all say how much they enjoyed the experience. Some even say they will go and view the movies after "being on set". One of our most popular tours. Regards Ian

A perfect day and day tour!

Unexpectedly a private tour with Les! Our group did not materialize and Les took us in his car. What a treat! He took us to some of his private places for good views, towns, on our way to Hobbiton. He told of his being a part of the transportation team during production and told us the execution of certain set developments, the importance of filming in just the right “ light” .He kept us ahead of the crowds. He knew everyone and was so respected. It was an amazing tour. So very glad we did this tour and the Rotorua Geothermal combo. He was so informative with the history. A great day!

Thanks for your very kind feedback, you did strike it lucky to have Les all to yourself. Hobbiton is a very popular tour and usaully our minibuses and small coaches are full. Hobbiton is an awesome destination and one of New Zealand's most visited destinations. We always a have a couple of the company cars on hand in case we end up with just 2 persons, as we have a company policy of not turning away a client who has a confirmed booking even if there are just 2. Regards Ian

John our tour guide was excellent. He spent the day with us and informed us where he will be waiting for us after the Hobbiton tour and then we went to the Geothemals which was also nice. He gave us a lot of information on the history and culture of the Mauri.

This trip thoroughly exceeded my expectations, which I thought would be very hard to do. The visit to Hobbiton was everything we hoped it would be. Just delightful. Only wish they could have given us more time but that is controlled by the staff at the movie site. We all would have done the visit again the next day if our cruise ship had dallied.

loved this excursion, I'm not a lord of the rings fan and have only seen the first movie, but it was a very good tour and very interesting. The hobbiton farm was stunning, and even in the wet weather it was lovely. Very informative guides. Quite a bit of walking around the hobbiton farm area but well worth it.
